UT-Knoxville partners with local nonprofit to develop ‘green’ community

Students from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville College of Architecture and Design traveled to Dayton last week to meet with the leadership of We Care Community Services.

The 14 students, all seniors in the college’s architecture program, are working with the Dayton-based non-profit to develop housing options for low-income seniors in the area.

We Care president meets with UT-Knoxville architecture students to discuss master plan

We Care Community Services moved one step closer today to realizing its vision for an affordable and environmentally sustainable senior housing community.

Walter Ring, President of We Care, met for the first time with the 14 architecture students who will be responsible for designing the multi-unit complex. The students, all seniors at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville College of Architecture and Design, will devise a master plan for the community as part of their class work this fall.
